Lana is the the granddaughter of Carole, of Toronto's award-winning Carole's Cheesecake Company. Her Smart Cakes were born out of a love for cheesecake and her own personal dietary sensitivities which led her to follow a raw vegan diet. Sheenrolled in a Culinary Nutrition Expert Program, gaining certification in Holistic Nutrition, and created a new wave of cheesecake-inspired frozen desserts that everyone-- vegan or non-vegan-- could enjoy: Smart Cakes.
Smart cakes are the perfectly crafted frozen dessert and go-to vegan cheesecake alternative. They are dairy free, egg free, soy free and gluten free, as well as 100% naturally sweetened, low in sugar, and loaded with fibre and plant-based protein.
